Surfer Rosa for the Pixies is really a case of picking up where Come on Pilgrim left off. It's just a case of taking that template of minimal, short, sharp and punky songs and running away with it. You can just tell from the first 4 songs where the band is heading with this album. Indeed the band tear through these songs with energy and hooks.
